GENERAL ISSUES

Finishing Times

The Nairnshire Challenge is not a race and although the official clock at the finish will give finishers their times every participant should feel free to take enough time to enjoy the beauty of Nairnshire.

Finishing times will be published in the local Press and on this website.

Finishing at The Links

Refreshments are available free to participants in the Inner Wheel tent. Finishers may also walk over to the Swimming Pool and take a free dip or a shower.

Other facilities offered at the Links will include a BBQ and Nairn Academy's Steel Band.

Sponsorship Money

The instructions on the Sponsorship forms should be followed carefully and money collected with the sponsorship forms (even blank ones) should be sent to the accountants Ritson Young by 31 July 2012.  Cheques should be made payable to The Rotary Club of Nairn.

GIFT AID – Challengers can increase the value of their sponsorship by 28% by asking sponsors to fully complete the Gift Aid details if they are a qualifying UK taxpayer – this costs them nothing but allows tax to be recovered and added to the total sponsorship. To be valid for Gift Aid purposes the address on the form of each sponsoring donor must be a home address and not a business address.

The Nairnshire Challenge is registered with Justgiving which facilitates the whole sponsorship process.

Rewards

Teams whose members have returned their sponsorship by 31 July 2012 will be entitled to certificates for each individual showing the individual's finishing time and position.

A team raising £800 or more will get free entry in 2013, and will be invited to nominate a  UK Charity to whom the Rotary Club of Nairn will donate half the excess sponsorship over £800 - eg a team raising £1500 in sponsorship can nominate a charity to receive £350.
