THE APPLICATION PROCESS
Entrants who apply to enter online will immediately be sent an acknowledgement e-mail. The Nairnshire Challenge Office will then send the team leader an Entry Pack. This will confirm the team entry details, advise the team and entrant reference numbers, and give directions for payment of the entry fee,
Entrants who prefer to submit their registration application by post or hand, can obtain the necessary form either as a download, by telephone application to the Challenge Office on 01667 455875, or in person at the Main Post Office on Cawdor Street in Nairn.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Only teams of three individuals may enter. All entrants must be at least 17 years old on 30 May 2010.
Each team must appoint a Team Leader, who will be the single point of contact for the team with the organisers. Any changes to the team members should be advised to the Nairnshire Challenge Office as soon as possible.
Entrants in the Nairnshire Challenge accept responsibility for their own safety and fitness to participate in the 30 mile walk and bike ride. The organisers and bodies assisting them accept no liability for accidental injury or otherwise to entrants or damage or theft to their property. If an entrant is in any doubt about their fitness they must consult their doctor. Each Team Leader will confirm acceptance of these terms on behalf of all team members when sending the entry fee.
The entry fee for each team is currently £60 which is non-refundable. This fee is intended to cover the cost of staging the event and the administration costs. Any excess will be added to the Charitable Fund.
All teams pledge to raise at least £150 per team, and all participants must return their individual sponsorship monies by 30 June 2010.
Any team raising £800 or more will have free entry in 2011, and can nominate a charity of their choice to which half the sponsorship in excess of £800 can be donated.
All money raised will be pledged to Nairn Rotary Club, and the trustees of the Charitable Trust will distribute it to local charities and good causes, and to charities supported by Rotary International.
Entrants names and addresses will be held on a computer database solely for the purpose of the administration of the Nairnshire Challenge. Names and times of finishers will be released to the local Press and published on this website.
