Cheerers and Supporters
The Challenge is also a major logistical exercise which, quite simply, could not take place without a small army of volunteers and supporters. Thanks to their help, we are proud the Nairnshire Challenge is invariably a smoothly run and well-organised event.
Volunteers help transport participants (and their bikes!), serve as marshalls, man feeding and watering stations, provide first aid cover and fill a host of other essential roles.
Meanwhile numerous businesses support the cause by providing goods or services free of charge or at substantial discounts. Do contact us if you are interested in serving as a volunteer or in your business supporting the Challenge.
Last but not least are the supporters who sponsor friends, family and colleagues attempting the Challenge, and who turn out in numbers to cheer them on at key points along the way – especially as they cross the finish line on Nairn Links.
The Challenge has built up a reputation of being not only a charitable event but a fun day out too – for participants and spectators alike. There’s so many ways you can be involved, whether through taking on the Challenge yourself, sponsoring friends who do, or donating your time on the day. We encourage everyone, young or old, dedicated runner and cyclist or casual walker, would be volunteer or business owner, family or friend to take up the Challenge!
